Myth 1: You have to pay candidates for a trial.

Actually, you don’t. Candidates should always be asked to do an unpaid trial to assess their suitability for the role. The candidate should always be under direct supervision, and the trial should give them an opportunity to demonstrate their skills which are relevant to the position.

This means you get a great chance to see your candidates in action and whether they have the skills they need to perform in your team! As a candidate, this gives you an opportunity to see if the team culture is positive, supportive and a place where you can be your best.
